In the Neighborhood: Sweetwater Springs Road

While the picnic deck at Mill Creek Vineyards is hard to beat, just down the road you will find stunning redwood vistas, a gurgling creek, bird's-eye views of, well, birds, free-roaming cattle, wildflowers, moss-draped oaks, historical names and places, and vineyards. From Westside Road (near Hop Kiln Winery) to Armstrong Woods State Park, Sweetwater Springs Road has a lot to offer on its winding route over Mount Jackson. - Katherine Radcliffe

Sunrise Over Mill Creek

Well the secret is out... we live such a rough life here. Late in February of this year I woke to find the walls of my bedroom a magnificent shade of pink. Although it is hard to confuse me for a morning person, I managed to grab my camera and stumble into the front yard. I am sure glad I did! - Brian Kreck

Happy Spring!

BARREL TASTING HOURS

MILL CREEK VINEYARDS WILL BE CLOSING AT 4:00pm ON MARCH 5,6 & 7 AND MARCH 12, 13 & 14.

Even though much of the rest of the United States is still struggling through winter weather, Sonoma County is beginning to show signs of spring. The winter daphne is in full bloom and the aroma is intoxicating. There are cheerful clumps of daffodils emerging to dot the hillsides and gardens, and the flowering plum trees will be in full bloom in another two or three weeks. Our camellias are budding out and one can just barely see a little color on some of the azaleas, which means spring and warmer weather is just around the corner.
